Emma Lane Dixon, 87, died Sunday morning at Britthaven of Goldsboro.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Tyndall Funeral Home. The Rev. Jack Sauls will officiate. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery in Mount Olive.
Mrs. Dixon was the daughter of the late David Daniel and Martha Pate Lane and the widow of Thomas Byrd Dixon. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Bryant David Lane, and a sister, Daisy Lane Brock.
She is survived by one daughter, Macey Sanderson and husband, Charles, of Clayton; two sons, David Dixon and wife, Debbie, of Dudley and Thomas Dixon and wife, Glenda, of Clayton; a sister, Flora L. Royall of Goldsboro; four grandchildren, Michelle Dixon of Goldsboro, Dr. Dave Dixon of Asheville, Susan Garner of Smithfield and Clifton Faircloth of Greensboro; and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday night from 7 until 9 at Tyndall Funeral Home, and other times at the residence of David and Debbie Dixon, 397 Mitchell Road, Dudley.
