GREENVILLE -- The funeral for Jackie Ellis Bland, 55, stepbrother of Judy Lane Moore of Goldsboro, will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Wilkerson Funeral Home. Pastor Jeff Manning will officiate. Burial will be in Epworth Cemetery in Vanceboro.
Mr. Bland died last Saturday in Brazil where he was on an assignment with Alliance One International Tobacco Company.
In addition to his stepsister, he is survived by his wife, Sue Jeong Bland; daughter, Pamela Young Bland, and son Stacy Ellis Bland; brothers, Johnny Ray Bland of Westfield, Mass., and Shade Anthony Bland of Vanceboro; sister, Donna Bland Gladson of Simpson; stepmother, Helen Gaskins Bland of Vanceboro; stepbrother, Ronald Allen Lassiter Jr. of Ayden; another stepsister, Dorothy Lassiter Belles of Ayden;
The family will receive friends this evening from 6 until 8 at Wilkerson Funeral Home.
