Virginia Blanche Carter, 87, of Dudley, died Sunday at the Brian Center.
A graveside service will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.
Mrs. Carter was born in Rocky Mount and was the daughter of the late Redmon Bonner and Era Staton Walker. She was the widow of Randolph Carter and was a member of New Hope Friends Church and the Brogden Grange.
She is survived by one sister, Dorothy Bellamy of Chesapeake, Va.
The family will receive friends at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home during the hour prior to the graveside service.
