The funeral for George Royal will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Mark Disciples of Christ Church, Faro. Elder Robert D. Hood will officiate. Burial will be in Wayne Memorial Park North.
Mr. Royal is survived by his wife, Zelma C. Royal of the home; two sons, Carnell Wilder of Snow Hill and Larry Carlyle of Goldsboro; eight daughters, Erma Diggs, Linda Williams, Carolyn Barnes, Rosetta Ward, Angela Carlyle and Vanjewel Carlyle of Goldsboro, Vivian White of Atlanta, Ga., and Sadie Sneed of Snow Hill; one sister, Rachael Bryant of Goldsboro; and one brother, Mason Royal of High Point.
The viewing hours will be from 2 until 7 today at Johnson-Lightner Funeral Home, 601 E. Ash St.
The family will assemble at 809 East End Circle at 9:50 on Thursday morning.
