MAXWELL C. EVANS
June 28, 1933 - June 7, 2006
Maxwell C. Evans, 72, of Mesquite, Texas, died Wednesday.
Born and raised in Brunswick County, he was the son of the late Weston Evans and Irene Russ Evans. He served in the U. S. Coast Guard from 1950 until 1953 and had been a resident of the Dallas, Texas, area for 48 years. He retired from Texas Instruments after 34 years of service and was a member of the Hella Shriners, Scottish Rite of Freemasonry and Vickery Lodge 1351 in Dallas, Texas.
Mr. Evans is survived by his wife, Jimmie Williamson Evans; a sister and brother-in-law, Helen E. and Bob Britt of Faison; a niece, Ladeane Little of Faison; and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Don and Georgia Bennett of Wilmington.
The funeral will be held Monday at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive. The Rev. Paul Rose will conduct the service. Interment will be in Faison Cemetery in Faison.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 1 p.m. until service time, and other times at the Bob Britt residence, 506 Winnifred Street, Faison.
