PRESTON B. KEARNEY

A graveside service for Preston Bailey Kearney, 77, will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Snow Hill Cemetery in Snow Hill.
Mr. Kearney died Tuesday.
He had lived in Newport News, Va., for more than 50 years and retired from Bowditch Ford parts department with over 30 years of service. His hobbies were playing poker, cheering for the Red Sox and spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by a son, Rudy Kearney, and is survived by two other sons, Jason Kearney of Hampton, Va., and Scott Kearney of Newport News, Va.; five sisters, Lula Vandiford of Snow Hill, Beatrice Balkcum, Doris Loy and Faye Phillips of Goldsboro and Dolly Mackvick of Raleigh; two brothers, James "Boe" Kearney and Kenneth Kearney, both of Goldsboro; and his grandchildren, Sheila, Robby, Katelyn and Allison.
The family will receive friends Friday from 7 until 8 p.m. at W. J. Smith & Son Funeral Home in Newport News, Va.
