MOUNT OLIVE--Tiffany Michelle Thornton, 33, of 183 Bass Lake Dr., died Friday at Wayne Memorial Hospital. Born in Wayne County and a talented poet, she was the daughter of Gloria Holmes and Sonny Thornton of Mount Olive. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Pearl Taylor & Robert Holmes and nieces, Brittany Rene Thornton and Kelly Futrell.
Memorial services will be held Monday at 7 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home with Mr. Horace Modlin officiating.
In addition to her parents, Tiffany is survived by a brother Robert Holmes Thornton of Mount Olive; two sisters Sonya Thornton Mendez and husband Jose of Mount Olive, Tammy L.Thornton of Mount Olive; her grandparents Melvin Edward & Ruth E. Thornton of Mount Olive; two nephews, Christopher Kornegay of Greenville, Shaun Kornegay of Mount Olive; and niece Taylor Brook Thornton of Mount Olive.
Family members will greet friends Monday immediately following the service at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home and at other times at the home, 183 Bass Lake Dr. in Mount Olive.
Memorial gifts may be directed to the charity of ones choice in memory of Tiffany Michelle Thornton and the many organizations that she gave to.
