Dora Jean Pender Edwards, 50, died Tuesday morning in Duke Medical Center.
The funeral will be held Thursday at 6 p.m. in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Princeton, with the Rev. Dennis Pollock officiating. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Wayne Memorial Park.
Mrs. Edwards was born in Wayne County to Beatrice Rose Fail of Goldsboro and the late Aaron Thomas Fail. She was preceded in death by her first husband, David Junior Pender, on May 6, 2004. She was a member of the Smithfield Moose Lodge.
In addition to her mother, Mrs. Edwards is survived by her husband, Mike Edwards, two sons, Scott Pender of New Bern and Keith Pender and wife, Deanna, of Princeton; three grandchildren, Kean Powell, Cheyenne Powell and Gabrielle Pender; one stepson, Mike Edwards Jr. of Princeton; one stepdaughter, Heather Edwards of the home; two brothers, David Fail of Fremont and Tommy Fail of Goldsboro; and two sisters, Linda Jernigan and Barbara Walker of Goldsboro.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service on Thursday night, and other times at the home of Keith Pender, 221 Princeton Road, Princeton.
