CHARLES McCULLEN
April 12, 1937-May 3, 2006
Charles Stephen McCullen, 69, of 3751 Stevens Mill Road, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, May 3, 2006, around 1:15 a.m. after an extended and courageous battle with congestive heart failure at Johnston Memorial Hospital.
Mr. McCullen was retired after 17 years with Seimens Corporation in Wendell. He was a faithful member of Branch Chapel Free Will Baptist Church where he attended every service as his health permitted with his very special and beloved Christian friend, Josephine Narron. He was a devoted and loving Christian father, grandfather, brother and friend.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Davis McCullen; his parents, Toby and Mary Faircloth; and father, Neal McCullen.
He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly J. and Mike Kiewert; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis J. and Wanda McCullen and Randy and Marcia McCullen; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Gertrude and Rev. W.J. Tyner and Ethel and Tom Britt; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Danny and 0Gail Faircloth, Donald and Kaye Faircloth, Ronnie and Georgia Faircloth and Mike and Teresa Faircloth; two grandsons, Stephen Kiewert and Scott Kiewert; and a beloved pet, Buster.
Funeral Services will be held Friday at 7 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home with the Reverends Terry Dennis and Dennis Pollock officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the funeral until 9 p.m. at the funeral home and at other times at the home. Graveside services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.
