James Henry Parker, 96, of 404 Marsh Kornegay Road, Faison, died Tuesday at SunBridge Nursing Center in Mount Olive.
The funeral will be conducted Saturday at 1 p.m. at New St. Delight Holiness Church in Mount Olive. The Reverend Dr. Quincy Gardener Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Mr. Parker was the son of the late Sim and Annie Parker.
He is survived by his wife, Jessie B. Parker; four daughters, Neta M. Perkins of Capital Heights, Md., Evelyn Jackson of Newton Grove, Lois Parker of Faison and Kay Cobb of Jacksonville, N.C.; one brother, Cain Parker of Newark, N.J.; one sister, Alease Parker of Newton Grove; and one granddaughter and two great-grandchildren
The viewing hours will be this evening from 5 until 7 at the Garris Funeral Home in Mount Olive, with the family present from 6 until 7 p.m.
