ELSIE W. AYCOCK

FREMONT -- Elsie Weathersby Aycock, 96, formerly of the Aycock's Church community, died Wednesday.
In recent years she had been a resident at Spring Arbor of Raleigh. She was a retired registered nurse and was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer M. Aycock, and a daughter, Ellen A. Burgess.
Surviving are three daughters, Ann Aycock of Wake Forest, Peggy Medlin of Raleigh and Claire Gentry of Oak Ridge; a son, Spencer Aycock of Wake Forest; a half sister, Billie Bland Pearson of Raleigh; a brother, Earl L. Weathersby of Charlotte; a half brother, Bruce Bland Jr., of Raleigh; and five grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Park, 2800 Nash St. North, Wilson.
Following the funeral, the family gather at Wilson Memorial Service at 2811 Fieldstream Drive, near the cemetery, for a time of sharing.
Until noon on Saturday, the family will be at the home of Spencer Aycock, 3504 Catlette Road, Wake Forest.
