The funeral for Carrie Mae Smith will be held Wednesday at noon at Stanley Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, Mount Olive. The Rev. Kenny Jones will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Smith died Thursday at Lenoir Memorial Hospital in Kinston.
She was a Wayne County native and was the daughter of the late Zeb Lofton and Mable Kornegay Lofton.
Her survivors include one daughter, Ella M. Long of Kinston; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The visiting hours will be from 2 until 8 today at Swinson Funeral Service in Kinston and the family will be present from 7 until 8 p.m.
