LAFAYETTE WILLIAMSON JR.

PRINCETON -- LaFayette Williamson Jr., 64, of 205 E. First St., died Friday.
The funeral will be held tonight at 7 at Princeton Baptist Church. The Reverends Lee Eames, Horace Ricks and Ed Wiggs will officiate. Burial will be on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Princeton Cemetery.
Mr. Williamson was the son of the late LaFayette Williamson Sr. and Nora Kemple Williamson. He was a member of Princeton Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and an usher and was chairman of the building and grounds committee, He was a retired volunteer fireman for the Town of Princeton.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Turnage Williamson; sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Deanne Williamson of Raleigh, Kent and Lisa Williamson of Nashville, Tenn.; one daughter, April Williamson of Princeton; brother and sister-in-law, I.K. and Betty Williamson of Goldsboro; sister and brother-in-law, June and Glenn Martin of Franklin, N.C.; sisters-in-law, Rue Wood Williamson of Smithfield and Mazie Williamson of Goldsboro; and four grandchildren, Camille. Kelsey, Troy and Reed.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Harry Williams and Dick Williamson, and a sister, Peggy Rose.
The family will receive friends at Princeton Baptist Church prior to and immediately following the funeral tonight.
Although flowers are welcome, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Princeton Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 215 Princeton, N.C., 27569.
