MOUNT OLIVE --The funeral for Samuel Lanier, 75 of Smith Chapel Road, will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Garris Funeral Home. The Rev. Clara Blount will officiate. Burial will be in Lee Cemetery in Maple Hill.
Mr. Lanier was the son of the late Wright and Ellen Pigford Lanier.
He is survived by two sisters, Emma Coston of Faison and Dora Perry of Mount Olive.
The family will receive friends at the Perry residence at 2681 N.C. Hwy. 55 West.
A viewing will be held at the funeral home during the hour prior to funeral on Saturday.
