MILDRED JENKINS

Mildred Pittman Jenkins, 92, died Thursday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.
A native of Johnston County, she was the daughter of the late Joshua Vick Pittman and Melinda Ferrell Pittman Price and the widow of Eugene Jenkins. She had lived in Durham most of her life until moving to Goldsboro in 2002, to be cared for by her niece, Carroll Hill, and family. Mrs. Jenkins retired from AATC and was a member of Carr United Methodist Church.
She is survived by three brothers, Cecil Pittman of Opp, Ala., Robert G. "Bob" Pittman of North Carolina and Mack G. Pittman of Kinston; one sister, Annie Collier of Chapel Hill; three stepsisters, Margery Robbins of Florida, Admah Hudson of Smithfield and Ruth Shirley of Selma; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Hudson Funeral Home in Durham, with the Rev. Ernest Ferrell officiating. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 12 until 1:30 p.m., prior to the service, at Hudson Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.
Arrangements are being handled by Hudson Funeral Home, Durham.
