HAZEL LANCASTER

Fannie Hazel Lancaster, 89, died today at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro.
Miss Lancaster was born in Wayne County to the late Grover Cleveland Lancaster and Martha Jane Collier Lancaster. She retired from Belk of Goldsboro with 57 years of service and was a member of The First Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she sang in the church choir for many years.
Miss Lancaster is survived by her nieces, Kay Trachtenberg and husband, Joe; Jane Wilkins and husband, Alton; and Margaret Caviness; and her nephews, Danny Kornegay and wife, Susie; and Eugene Lancaster; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
The funeral will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at The First Pentecostal Holiness Church, with the Rev. Jimmy Whitfield and the Rev. Bill Rose officiating. Interment will be in Wayne Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Mitch LeQuire, Dan Kornegay, Danny Kornegay, Alton Wilkins, Jack Boyette, and Charles Coletrain.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 1 until 2 p.m. in the front foyer of The First Pentecostal Holiness Church.
