KENLY -- Melvin H. "Buddy" Watson, 88, of 2315 Old Route 22, died Thursday at Wilson Medical Center in Wilson.
A lifelong resident of Kenly, he was a retired farmer and was the former owner of Kenly Exxon.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mina Watson, and is survived by four stepdaughters, Sallie Bierce of Smithfield, Janet Pittman of Wilson, Brenda Davis of Kenly and Nelda Bardin of Wilson, and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Saturday morning at 11 at Kenly Cemetery, under the direction of Coley Funeral Home.
