The funeral for Daryl Anthony Cole, 47, will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. Burial will be in the Cole Family Cemetery in Newton Grove.
Mr. Cole died Friday at Weilstar Cobb Hospital in Austell, Georgia.
He was a Wayne County native and was the son of Willie R. Cole of Willingboro, N.J., and the late Edna Jones Cole. He owned and operated a recording studio.
In addition to his father, survivors include a foster son, Derrick Howard of Austell, Ga.; four sisters, Ava Brewington and Wanda Cole of Goldsboro, Carolyn Montgomery of Windermere, Fla., and Cynthia Cole of Greensboro; one uncle, Lonnie Jones, and his wife, Mary, of Washington, D.C.; one aunt, Lener Cole Williams, and her husband, John, of Newton Grove; two nephews, Stephen Brewington of Goldsboro and Derrick Cole of Greensboro; one niece, Nichelle A. Cole of Raleigh; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Brenda Cole; his maternal grandmother, Louise Jones Goodman; his paternal grandparents, Quenzie and Noralener Cole; and one niece, Crystal Cole.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 1 until 2, one hour prior to funeral, and other times at the home of, Wanda Cole, 870 Saulston Road, Goldsboro.
