ESSIE A. TUCKER

Essie A. Tucker, 91, of Pleasant Grove Church Road, Raleigh, died Wednesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Tucker was born in Chatham County to the late Ella Kelley. She was the widow of Walter C. Tucker and was employed as a nurse in Raleigh for many years.
Her survivors include a daughter, Mary Jane Palaganas, and her husband ,Tony, of Goldsboro; four grandsons, Michael Scott and his wife Karen, Austin Scott, Kevin Palaganas and B. Ryan " Buddy" Palaganas; her niece, Jan Anderson and her husband, Larry, of Douglasville, Ga. Also, her nephews, Chip Kelley of Reston, Va., and Ben Kelley and his wife, Sabine, of Winston, Ga.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Creedmoor Road Baptist Church. Burial will be at a later date at Oakwood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
