DEEP RUN --The funeral for Gladys Ferrell Heath, 81, will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Deep Run Free Will Baptist Church. The Rev. Adrian Grubbs will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Heath died Wednesday at Lenoir Memorial Hospital in Kinston.
She was the widow of Clinton Earl Heath and the daughter of the late Charlie and Lillian Ferrell.
Survivors include a son, Dennis Earl Heath of Deep Run; a daughter, Donna Smith of Deep Run; two sisters, Georgie Petteway of Burlington and Shirley Sutton of Simpsonville; three brothers, Charles Ferrell of Durham, John Ferrell of Kinston, and Preston Ferrell of Virginia Beach, Va.; and four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends at 1536 Smith-Grady Road, Deep Run.
Flowers are welcome, or memorial donations may be made to the Resident Council Fund at Britthaven of Kinston, 317 Rhodes Ave., Kinston.
Howard-Carter Funeral Home is serving the family.
