HANNAH TURNAGE

LAGRANGE -- Hannah Ellis Turnage, 70, died Saturday at Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
A native of Lenoir County, she was the daughter of the late, Kirby and Lizzie Faulkner Ellis. She was a homemaker and had worked as a private duty CNA through the years.
The funeral was held today at 11 a.m. at Hull Road Free Will Baptist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Leon Grubbs officiating. Interment was at Snow Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Turnage is survived by her children, Rebecca T. Aikens and husband, Bob, of Kinston, Jacob Thomas Turnage and wife, Angie, of Snow Hill, Crystal T. Crouch and husband, Ronnie, of Rockingham and Ramona T. Durden of Snow Hill; grandchildren, Luther E. Thomas Jr. and wife, Missy, of Goldsboro, Brandon A. Thomas and wife, Erin, of Grimesland, Nicole T. Hardison and husband, Andy, of Greenville, Hope Oldham and husband, Kevin, of Rockingham, Benjamin Croke of Rockingham, Blake Govan and Codie Turnage both of Snow Hill and Jon Foss of LaGrange; a sister, Dixie Ellis Smith of Goldsboro; and a brother, Billy Carr Ellis of LaGrange; and four great-grandchildren.
The family received friends on Sunday from 6 until 8 p.m. at Taylor-Tyson Funeral Service and other times at the residence, 760 Lakeview Road, LaGrange.
