JOHN COX SR.
The funeral for John Nathan Cox Sr., a former resident of Goldsboro, was held on Tuesday, Feb. 14, at Hemingway Temple A.M.E. Church in Washington, D.C. Dr. Michael A. Bethea officiated. Burial was in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery in Suitland, Md.
Mr. Cox is survived by three sons, John Cox Jr., Charles E. Cox and Nathaniel Cox; one sister, Mary Matthews; and five brothers, Samuel, Junius, Wilbert, James and Ernest Cox; and 15 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
The family was served by Strickland Funeral Services.
