PEARL THOMPSON
Annie Pearl "Ma Pearl" Thompson, 72, of 1110 Devereaux St., died Thursday in Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mark Church of Christ Disciples of Christ Church, 700 West Ash St. Bishop Alton A. Smith will officiate. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Rufus Thompson of the home; her children, Minister Harold Dixon of Charlotte, Marina Ihunwo of Seattle, Wash., Emma Faye Smith, Ray Thompson and Kale Thompson, all of Dale City, Va., and Rufus Thompson Jr. of Macon, Ga.; a brother, James Williams of Raleigh; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be held Monday from 3 until 8 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel. The family will be present from 7 until 8 p.m.
