PAT RICH
Died Feb. 18, 2006
WALLACE -- Pat Rich, 78, father of Sharon Holder of Goldsboro, died Saturday at Lower Cape Fear Hospice Center in Wilmington.
The funeral will be held Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Peniel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church. The Reverends Joseph Tew, Robert Hunter and Steve Holder will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Rich was a native of Duplin County and was the son of the late James H. and Nancy Ellen Rich. After retiring from N&W Grocery Co. with 35 years of service, he owned and operated his own grocery stores. He was a member and former deacon at Peniel P.F.W.B. Church.
In addition to his daughter, Mr. Rich is survived by his wife, Christine Rich of the home; one son, Kenneth Rich of Wallace; another daughter, Denise Hunter of Beulaville; four sisters, Ethel Blanton, Louise English and Elizabeth Foley of Wallace and Mildred Merritt of Leesville, La.; and seven grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 at Padgett Funeral Home, and other times at the residence 2311 Willard Road, Wallace.
