TURKEY -- The funeral for Ernest Lee Joyner, 77 of 62 Smith Way Lane, will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Greater Six Run Baptist Church. The Rev. Leslie Morrisey will officiate. Burial will be in the Wilson Chapel Church Cemetery.
Mr. Joyner died Thursday at his home.
He was the son of the late Luther and Mary Lee McCalop Joyner.
His survivors include three sons, Charles Joyner of Newton Grove, Larry Brock of Raleigh and Ronald Jarman of Wilmington; three daughters, Judy Smith, Jo Ann Faison and Charlene Joyner of Turkey; five brothers, James Joyner of Faison, Luther David Joyner Jr. of Benson, Ralph Joyner and Leon Joyner of Baltimore, Md., and Jessie Joyner of Faison; six sisters, Hazel Waters of Fayetteville, Gertrude Stevens of Temple Hill, Md., Elouise Patterson of Fayetteville, Betty Stevens of Faison, Frances Mack of Baltimore, Md., and Gladys Hubbard of Virginia Beach, Va.; and 19 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
The viewing will be held Saturday from 3 until 7 p.m. at Garris Funeral Home in Mount Olive and the family will present from 6 until 7 to receive friends.
