NEWLAND -- Kenneth R. Bolling Sr., 78, father of Ken Bolling Jr. of Mount Olive, died Wednesday at Cannon Memorial Hospital in Linville.
Mr. Bolling was a native of Jenkins, Ky., and was the son of the late Dennis and Mae Revels Bolling. He retired as manager of a restaurant in Tampa, Fla., and was the manager of Derby Lanes Race Track for 20 years.
In addition to his son, he is survived by two daughters, Katherine Nieto of Cornelius and Pamela Nelson of Tampa, Fla.; one sister, Imogene Hill of Tampa, Fla.; and five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday from 5 until 7 p.m. at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home.
Inurnment will be at a later date in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Tampa, Fla.
