Marian Shaw Jenkins, 79, of 215 Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard, died Friday at her residence.
Mrs. Jenkins was a member of Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church in LaGrange, where she was a member of the Senior Choir and the Chairperson of the Dining Room Committee. She was also the President of the Floral Club and a member of the Northwest Circle.
A funeral will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, LaGrange. The Rev. Michael Johnson will officiate. Burial will follow in the LaGrange Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Nathan B. Jenkins of the home; one God-daughter, Erinn Joyner of Durham; four sisters-in-law, Nora Shaw of Goldsboro, Dorothy Hairston and Mable Clark, both of Hampton, Va., and Pearletta Shaw of Greensboro; one brother, Leon Shaw of Washington D.C.
The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7 until 8 at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, LaGrange.
