Mrs. Clarice Jeffrey Lee, 72, of 206 White Oak Road, went to be with her Lord on Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her family and friends.
She liked to read the Bible and talk about the Lord to anyone that would listen.
Mrs. Lee was born in Wharton, West Virginia, on January 12, 1934, to the late Fred Silby Jeffrey and Nevada Marie Wooten Jeffrey. She was a member of Woods Grove Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church in Goldsboro, NC. She was survivor of a heart transplant for fourteen years.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Woods Grove Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Wilson Family Cemetery, located on 111 South, behind the Food Lion. The Rev. Mike Grady will officiate.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Louis Lee; two daughters, Donna Marie McDavid Gooding and her husband Steven Wilson Gooding of Williamston and Teresa Lee Alston and her husband Timothy Wydal Alston Sr. of Goldsboro; her sisters, Frances Marlene Gair of Baltimore, Md., Mary Katheryn Rowley and her husband Charlie Rowley of Madison, W.Va., Brenda E. Jeffrey of Lafayette, La., and Sharon L. Cartmill and her husband Bill Cartmill of Hurricane, W.Va.; her brothers, Fred S. Jeffrey Jr. and his wife Phyllis Jeffrey of Barboursville, W.Va., Carl Allen Jeffrey and his wife Alma Jeffrey of Pontiac, Mich., and David F. Jeffrey of Lafayette, La. Grandchildren are Clarice Marie Rochelle of Ft. Myers, Fla., Mary Katheryn Robinson of Winterville, N.C., Timothy Wydal Alston Jr. of Goldsboro. Great-Grandchildren are Lisa Robin Mozingo, Zackary Shane Rochelle and Kaitlyn Marie Robinson
She was predeceased by two sisters, Bernice D. Wells and Gloria Mae Jeffrey.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 until 9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, and other times at her residence.
