RALEIGH -- Jerry Perkinson, 62, father of Matthew W. Perkinson of Goldsboro, died Saturday.
The funeral will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of McLaurin Funeral Home in Clayton. The Rev. Grace Hargis will officiate. Interment will be in Pinecrest Memorial Park.
Mr. Perkinson was the son of Mozelle Watkins Perkinson of Henderson and the late O.E. Perkinson.
In addition to his mother and his son, Mr. Perkinson is survived by his wife, Joyce Fulghum Perkinson; daughter, Rachelle P. Carlton of Huntsville, Ala., another son, Christian M. Perkinson, Dexter, Mo., one stepson, Bobby Gupton of the home; sisters, Deloris P. Lambert and Elaine W. Perkinson of Raleigh; and three grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 at McLaurin Funeral Home.
