William Donald Mason, 80, of 201 Pierce St., Princeton, died Thursday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
He was a native of Princeton and was the son of the late William Osborne and Maggie Elizabeth Pearce Mason. He retired from the Federal Government in 1980.
Survivors include his wife, Fran Y. Mason; one son, Stephen A. Mason of Fremont; daughters, Elizabeth M. Smith of Raleigh and Donna M. Poole of Chocowinity; brother, Frank Mason of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; and six grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 6 p.m. in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Princeton. The Rev. Dwayne Batten will officiate. Burial will be at a later date at Princeton Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service on Saturday evening.
