VERNNIE B. MARTIN

The funeral for Vernnie B. Martin, 75, of 403 N. Lime St., will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Rhodes Funeral Home. Burial will be in Old Mill Cemetery.
Mr. Martin died Tuesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
He was the son of the late Willie B. and Laura Pearl Martin of Mount Olive. He attended Wayne County Schools and was a farmer in Wayne County and in the state of Florida for many years.
He is survived by one son, Larry Wynn of Goldsboro; one daughter, Linda Leggett of the home; one brother, Kermit Martin of Goldsboro; five sisters, Connie Coles and Teresa Howard of Philadelphia, Pa., Martha Manley of Mount Olive and Geneva Martin and Dorothy Martin of Goldsboro; and five grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
The viewing will be on Sunday from 1 until 6 p.m. at Rhodes Funeral Home in Goldsboro.
