The funeral for Elder Norman Earl Johnson Jr. will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Love Temple on Oak Forest Road. Bishop Ralph Love will officiate. Entombment will be in Wayne Memorial park on U.S. 117 South.
Elder Johnson died Tuesday at the University of North Carolina Hospital in Chapel Hill.
He is survived by one daughter, Colin Martin of Raleigh; one son, Norman Johnson III of Raleigh; his mother, the Rev. Lillie Johnson of Goldsboro; four brothers, James Earl Johnson of Goldsboro, Joseph Johnson of California, Elder Charles Johnson of Virginia and Gilbert Johnson of Washington, D.C.; four sisters, Margaret Raine of Goldsboro, Nannie Holland and Evangelist Gloria Walker of New Jersey and Evangelist Doris Funchess of Rocky Mount; one uncle, the Rev. Willie Bell of Durham; two aunts, Evangelist Laura Gardner of LaGrange and Martha Savage of Maryland.
The viewing will be Sunday from 2 until 8 p.m. at Lightner Memorial Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends at the residence at 201 Chancery Drive in Goldsboro.
