MOUNT OLIVE -- David Best, 95, of 211 Wynn St., died Monday at Sunbridge Nursing Center.
The funeral will be held Thursday morning at 11 at Jackson Tabernacle Church. The Rev. Roosevelt Herring will officiate. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery.
Mr. Best is survived by his wife, Gloria Best of the home; one son, Earl Bell of the home; six daughters, Gloria Bowden, Joyce Uzzell and Hannah Denise Cole of Mount Olive, Jacqueline Henry of Wilmington, Charlotte Shields of Swanee, Ga., and Alice Pearsall of Goldsboro; and 17 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The viewing will be held today from 2 until 6 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home in Mount Olive, and other times the family will receive friends at the residence at 211 Wynn St.
