GRACE DAUGHTRY
RALEIGH -- Grace Walston Daughtry, 81, formerly of Goldsboro, died Friday at the City of Oaks in Raleigh.
Mrs. Daughtry was born in Greene County on Nov. 22, 1924, to the late Samuel S. Walston and Eva Vaughn Walston. She was married to the late Thomas Lawrence Daughtry Jr. Mrs. Daughtry was a member of Fort Run P.F.W.B. Church.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. monday at Fort Run P.F.W.B. Church. The Reverends Larry Turlington and Tom Dormon will officiate. Burial will follow in Snow Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Daughtry is survived by her daughter, Kay McGoldrick of Morrisville; her son, Stephen Daryl Daughtry and wife, Janet of Raleigh; a sister, Evelyn Ross of Goldsboro; two brothers, James "Bud" Walston of Goldsboro and Charles Walston of Snow Hill; her grandchildren, Daniel Daughtry and wife, Josie, Adrienne Henri Meadows and husband, Brad, Margaux Daughtry and Robin D. Edmondson and husband, Jimmie; three great-grandchildren, Connor Daughtry, Jayson Cannon, and Jordan Gayhardt.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Oakes, and a brother, Wayne Walston.
Memorials may be made to Fort Run P.F.W.B. Church, 243 Shine Road, Snow Hill, N.C., 28580.
The family will receive friends this evening from 6 until 8 at Seymour Funeral Home.
