ROCKY MOUNT -- Barbara "Bobbie" Sauls Combs, 69, died Wednesday.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Bowling Funeral Home. Dr. Donald Gerald Sauls and Dr. Kenneth Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery in Wilson.
She was born in Wilson County and was the daughter of the late Sidney Sauls and Mavis Sorrell Sauls. She was a member of Nashville Praise and Worship Church. She graduated from Atlantic Christian College in 1972 with a bachelor of arts degree in history and taught school in Wilson for two years. She then accepted the position as administrative clerk with the city of Rocky Mount and retired in 1994 after 20 years of service.
She is survived by one daughter, Angela Dawn Combs Lynch of Nashville, and two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 8:30 at Bowling Funeral Home.
