WILSON -- The funeral for William Jarvis Holland, 73, of Lucama, will be held tonight at 7 in the chapel of Joyner's Funeral Home. Pastor Robert Winstead will officiate. Burial will be on Thursday at 11 a.m. at Murray Family Cemetery, Zebulon.
Mr. Holland was retired from the Ford Motor Assembly Plant in Norfolk, Va.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Wrenn Holland; a daughter, Catherine H. Murphy of Wilson; three sons, Richard Lee Holland of Lucama, Robert Holland of Georgia, and William Holland; three sisters, Eula Lee Barnes of Lucama, Ella Bee Barnes of Goldsboro and Freida Talton of Pikeville; three brothers, Ralph Holland of Fremont, Lassiter Holland of Canada and Milford Holland of Wilson; and 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a son, David Holland..
The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service tonight, and other times at 5210 Ernest Road, Wilson.
