SNOW HILL -- Tiny Lee Taylor Worrell, 84, died Friday at WilMed Nursing Center in Wilson.
Born June 5, 1921, to Needham and Dora Hinson Taylor, Mrs. Worrell was a native of Greene County. She was a graduate of Snow Hill High School and retired from the Snow Hill Tape Corporation after 34 years of service. Mrs. Worrell was a member of the First Baptist Church of Snow Hill.
A funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Monday at the chapel of Taylor-Tyson Funeral Service. The Rev. Dr. Gene Martin will officiate. Interment will follow at the Snow Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Worrell was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Worrell.
She is survived by her daughter, Valeria Worrell Howell and husband, Phillip of Stantonsburg; a son, John Allen Worrell and wife, Jonsie of Elm City; sisters, Alma Rhee Ham of Snow Hill and Margaret Parrish of LaGrange; a brother, Dick Taylor of Snow Hill; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends today from 7 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home, and other times at the home of Phillip and Valeria Howell, 312 Commercial Avenue, Stantonsburg.
