PEGGY PERSON

FAYETTEVILLE -- Peggy Person, of 1606 Gilmore St., born February 26, 1929, to the late John Bryant and Alice Messer Bryant, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 27, 2005, in the Cape Fear Valley medical Center at the age of 76.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and a friend to all that knew her.
She was a member of Massey Hill Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of over 58 years, Marion Person; a daughter, Kathryn I Person of Fayetteville; two sons, Jerome K. Person of Fayetteville and Jimmy B. Person and wife, Laura, of Goldsboro, N.C.; a foster son, Homer K. Sadler and wife, Pat, of Hope Mills, N.C.; a sister, Helen Barbour and husband, Lonnie, of Clayton; two brothers, Horace Bryant of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Jimmy Bryant and wife, Irene, of Shallotte, N.C.
She is also survived by five grandchildren, Michael Burriss of Raleigh, N.C., Jennifer B. Grady of Fayetteville, N.C., J. Brooks Person of Greenville, N.C., Brian A. Person of Winston-Salem, N.C., and Shivar Person of Goldsboro, N.C.; and four great-grandchildren.
A celebration of the life of Mrs. Peggy Person will be conducted at 6 p.m. Friday, December 30, 2005, in the chapel of the Rogers and Breece Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim Evans officiating. She will be laid to rest at a later date in Lafayette Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the Rogers and Breece Funeral Home from 4:45 p.m. until 5:45 p.m. prior to services.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Massey Hill Baptist Church, 1027 Southern Ave., Fayetteville, N.C., 28306; or to a charity of one's choice.
The family has entrusted the services of Rogers and Breece Funeral Home of Fayetteville.
