KINSTON -- James R. "Buddy" Dobson, 80, of 1113 E. Bright St., died Wednesday at Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
He is survived by his wife, Ella Louise Dobson; two daughters, Kay Hodges of Goldsboro and Mary Stevenson of Columbus, Ohio; one son, Noah Harvey of Goldsboro; and four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at St. Mark Church Ministries on East Bright Street at 1 p.m. today. Bishop Melvin Parks will conduct the service. Burial will be in Pinelawn Memorial Park.
The viewing was on Sunday from 4 until 8 p.m. at Swinson Funeral Service.
