VIOLA R. SMITH

Viola Radford Smith, 91, died Wednesday at the Brian Center.
A graveside service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the Smith Family Cemetery, with the Rev. Ed Tatum officiating.
Mrs. Smith was born in Greene County to the late Needham Radford and Minnie Newsome Radford and was the widow of Robert "Bob" Smith. She was a member of Fort Run Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Jessie F. Jackson, and her husband, Gene, of Goldsboro; two grandchildren, Ronnie Teachey and Sharon Sutton and her husband, Ed, of Goldsboro; and a sister, Nancy Ham of Snow Hill.
She was preceded in death by seven sisters, Josie Hill, Louisa Taylor, Blanche Taylor, Rose Lee Howell, Mae Smith, Janie Taylor and Doris Howell; and two brothers, Ben Radford and George Taylor.
The family will receive friends today from 6 until 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, and other times at the home of Jessie and Gene Jackson, 4932 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro.
