James T. Williams, 78, 703 Claiborne St., Apt. A, died Saturday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
He was the son of the late Willie and Essie Simmons Williams. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Rhodes Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Larry Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Listine Williams of Goldsboro; two daughters, Janice McClarin of Goldsboro and Cleora Mack of Virginia; three brothers, Freddie Williams of Goldsboro, the Rev. Willie Williams Jr. of New York and Bishop Franklin Williams of Baltimore, Md.; four sisters, the Rev. Annie Yelverton of Goldsboro, Evangelist Margaret Williams of New Jersey, Beatrice Darden of Indianhead, Md., and Prophet Essie Jones of Waldorf, Md.; and seven grandchildren.
The family will receive friends and relatives two hours prior to the funeral at Rhodes Funeral Home Chapel.
