Annie Mae Komanecky, 78, died Friday at the Halifax Regional Medical Center, Roanoke Rapids.
A graveside service will be held 3 p.m. today in Edgecombe Memorial Park, Tarboro. The Rev. Julian Thompson will officiate.
She was born in Halifax to the late Joseph and Susie King Assad.
Mrs. Komanecky is survived by a daughter, Kathy Avery of Halifax; a brother, Sam Assad and wife, Beatrice of Goldsboro; a granddaughter, Tammy Marshall and husband, Chick, of Grimesland; a grandson, Jimmy Gray and wife, Angel of Roanoke Rapids; and a niece, Wanda McCullen and husband, Dennis of Goldsboro.
She was preceded in death by two nephews, Sam Dale Assad and Dean Randall Assad.
The family will receive friends at the Carlisle Funeral Home today from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.
