WILSON -- Queen Dickerson Reid, 72, a resident of Britthaven Nursing Home in Wilson, died Friday at Wilson Medical Center.
She is survived by three sisters, Mary Alston and Edna Thompson of Fremont and Margie Mitchell of Virginia.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. James Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ, 514 Memorial Church Road, Fremont. The Rev. J.O. Williams will officiate. Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery in Wilson.
The viewing hours will be from 3 until 9 p.m. on Friday at Hamilton Funeral Chapel in Wilson, and the family will be present from 7 until 8 to receive friends. At other times, the family will receive friends at the residence of Mary Alston, 306 S. Vance St., Fremont, and will assemble there one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
