KENLY -- A memorial service for Marie Pittman, 73, will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Coley Funeral Home. She died Monday in Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, Va.
A Kenly native, she was the daughter of the late Doc and Laurel Phillips Jones and was the widow of Hoover G. Pittman. She was a member of the Moose Lodge and the American Legion Women's Auxiliary.
Her survivors include one daughter, Donna Marie Kirby of Newport News, Va.; two sons, Richard G. Pittman of Newport News and Ronald W. Pittman of Hampton; two sisters, Lorraine Davis of Kenly and Nancy Smith of Goldsboro; three brothers, Charles Jones of Selma, Roy Jones of Smithfield and George Jones of Laurel, Md.; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends at the home of Thomas and Ava Jo Worley, 7543 Hwy. 301, Kenly.
