Herman Lewis Hooks, 39, a native of Wayne County, died Monday at his home in Panama City, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Matthew Earl and Ruth Peele Hooks of Fremont, and is survived by one sister, Alma P. Hooks of Panama City, Fla.; one brother, Matt Hooks of Fremont; and numerous relatives and friends in North Carolina and Florida.
A private interment will be held at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
Wilson Funeral Home in Panama City, Fla., is serving the family.
