Lonnie Ray James, 60, of 834 Forehand Road, died Sunday morning at home.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. from the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. His daughter, Pastor Chrystal McCullen will officiate. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at Pikeville Cemetery in Pikeville.
Mr. James was born in Wayne County on May 18, 1945, to the late Lonnie James and Helen Jones James. He was a member of Snow Hill Church of God.
He is survived by his wife, Linda K. James; one son, Norman James of Goldsboro; one daughter, Chrystal Mc-Cullen and her husband, Jimmy, of Eureka; three sisters, Dixie Smith and her husband, Wendell, of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Ann Marie Fabel and her husband, Joe, of Thonotossa, Fla., and Sandra Lutze of Pikeville; and six grandchildren, Robert Mc-Cullen and wife, Wendy, Ashley McCullen, Steven Mc-Cullen, Justin James, Dustin James and Jessica James.
In addition to his parents, Mr. James was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph "Buster" James.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening following the service at Howell Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
