The funeral for Walter Franklin Reid Sr. will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Little Rock Church of Christ, 1307 N. NC Hwy. 581, Pike-ville. Elder David Williams will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Mr. Reid is survived by his wife, Carrie L. Reid of the home; two sons, Johnny Reid of Bronx, N.Y, and Henry Reid of Goldsboro; three daughters, L. Jean (Michael) Boone of Macon, Ga., Geraldine Reid of Bronx, N.Y., and Katherine Summers of Goldsboro; one brother, Alfronza Reid; one sister, Beulah Ellis of Goldsboro, one sister-in-law, Fannie (Davis) Wynn of Goldsboro; and 14 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
The viewing hours will be from 3 until 8 p.m. on Friday at Hamilton Funeral Chapel.
