LAGRANGE -- Lucy Mozingo Deal, 89, of 4426 Eason Road, died Saturday morning at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.
The funeral will be held Monday at 7 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home Chapel in LaGrange with the Rev. Gerald Fowler and the Rev. Doug Johnson officiating. Interment will be on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery.
Mrs. Deal was a member of Trinity Free Will Baptist Church in LaGrange for many years and for most of her working years was a nurses' aide.
She is survived by one daughter, Leona Leneave and husband James Leneave of Goldsboro; her granddaughter, Bethany L. Jones and husband Jimmy Jones; a granddaughter-in-law, Marina Leneave; four great-grandchildren, Emily Jones, Laura Jones, Jake Leneave and Alex Ferrell; a sister, Helen Wood and husband Carroll Wood; and a brother, Sidney Mozingo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Logan and Bessie Mozingo; her grandson, Jimmy Leneave; her brothers, Jack Mozingo, Lewis Mozingo, and Hubert Mozingo; and a sister, Kathleen M. Reid.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service on Monday night, and other times at the home of James and Leona Leneave, 123 Quail Croft Drive, Goldsboro.
