HARRIET P. BIZZELL
Died Sept. 18, 2005
Harriet Simpson Powers Bizzell, 85, a resident of Alterra Sterling House, died Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A native of Wilmington, she was the daughter of the Kinchen and Harriet Noble Powers and the widow of James Eustace Bizzell. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Kinchen James Powers Jr. She was a member of the First Church of Christ, Scientist.
Her survivors include two sons, Dr. James Eustace Bizzell II of San Antonio, Texas, and Kinchen Carey Bizzell of New York, N.Y.; one sister, Ann Powers Smith of Wilmington; and one nephew, Winfield H. Smith of Wilmington.
The funeral was to be held today at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, with Ms. Gloria Nathan, C.S., officiating, and burial to follow in Willow Dale Cemetery.
