Mamie Ruth Williams Forbes, formerly of Snow Hill, died this past weekend in Washington, D.C.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Washington Branch Original Free Will Baptist Church, Snow Hill. Bishop L.N. Forbes will officiate. Burial will follow in the family cemetery, Greene County.
She is survived by one daughter, Minister Theresa Matthews of Lucama; one brother-in-law; several brothers; grandchildren; one uncle; several sisters-in-law; nieces; nephews; cousins.
A viewing will take place 10 a.m. Saturday at the church. The family will assemble at the L.N. Forbes Tabernacle, 1800 Lane Street Extension, Wilson, one hour prior to the service.
